Rachel & Nick | Babalou Kingscliff Wedding

Rachel and Nick chose our 6-hour Essentials Collection for their relaxed April wedding at Babalou Kingscliff, with both photography and videography capturing every key moment while keeping the day beautifully simple and stress-free.

With rain falling outside, the ceremony was held indoors beneath Babalou’s beautiful fairy light backdrop. The twinkling lights created such a warm and intimate setting, making for an emotional ceremony filled with heartfelt vows, laughter and plenty of tears. As the ceremony concluded, the rain cleared just in time for everyone to head outside for a joyful confetti exit and group photographs.

From there, we wandered across the road to the oceanfront lawns of Rowan Robinson Park for bridal party portraits before heading down to the beach with just Rachel and Nick. The soft autumn afternoon light perfectly complemented the couple's carefree, fun-loving personalities. Rachel looked incredible in her pre-loved wedding gown, proving that timeless bridal style doesn't have to come with a brand-new price tag. Their relaxed energy made for such a joyful portrait session, and it's something that shines through in every image.

The celebrations continued back at Babalou, where the reception was filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches and an incredible atmosphere. A particularly special detail was Rachel baking her own beautiful wedding cake—a true labour of love and a reflection of her incredible talent. We finished the evening with some stylish portraits around the venue, making the most of the elevator, piano and bar before leaving everyone to dance the night away.
